This feel-good 4 week programme will leave you feeling inspired, motivated and empowered to take climate action into your own hands and make the changes that will positively impact you and our planet. Learn from friendly sustainable lifestyle experts who will share their knowledge and will inspire you to kick start a more sustainable lifestyle or take your current efforts to the next level.

In this interactive programme you will be able to make new friends, learn new things, have the chats and be part of a growing community of everyday change-makers. 


Who is this programme for?

  • If you are worried about the climate crisis but you’re just not sure where to start or what to do, this programme is for you. 
  • If you’ve already got your reusable water bottle (yeahy) or have your recycling down to a T but know there is a lot more you could be doing, this programme is also for you. 
  • If you think you know it all and happy to share you knowledge with others, this is also for you :)

What will I learn?

During the 4 interactive online classes we will cover some of the areas in your life where you can reduce your carbon footprint: Reduce Plastic, Create a greener home, slow down Fast Fashion and try more planet friendly food choices. 

Each week you will learn how powerful your actions can be and you will receive small weekly challenges to begin your new sustainable life. We will check in, support and share tips with each other in a friendly and casual virtual space (with chatty tea breaks).

Classes Overview

Week 1. Zero-ish Waste Living

Diane O’Connor, Co-Founder of the Sustainable Life School and Zero-Waste Educator will take you on a Zero (ish) Waste living journey exploring living a plastic free-ish lifestyle. Reducing plastic is not a one glove fits all, Diane will show you how it can be adapted to what’s accessible, feasible and budget friendly for you. In this session you will leave with tips, skills and ideas on how to start or get more ambitious about shopping and living package free with all the ish you need! 

Week 2. Slow Down Fast Fashion

Sustainable, Ethical, Slow Fashion, what does it all mean and why is it important? 
Nathalie Pavone Co-Founder of the Sustainable Life School will share why we need to re-think the way we shop for clothes and will clarify the sometimes confusing world of sustainable & ethical clothing. You will leave feeling much more informed and learn a few tips on how to mend and care for your clothes.

Week 3. Happy Sustainable Homes

Joined by Codema' s Energy & Climate Awareness Officer Katie Harrington and sustainable lifestyle expert Elaine Butler of Sustainable Living blog Living Lightly, you will learn how to reduce energy within your home, spring clean your home the ECO way focusing on decluttering and toxic free cleaning. Never has caring for your home been so much fun (ok we can’t guarantee that - but we will have fun learning !) 

Week 4. Healthly & Planet friendly Eating

Led by Naomi Sheridan from NOMS (Natural Organic Mindful Sustainable), in this session you will learn how food choices we make have a direct effect on climate change. Drawing examples of the correlation of choosing organic produce and the positive effect this has on our ecosystems and the bee population, you will learn the benefits of reducing dairy, slashing your food waste while having a fun, varied and cost effective diet. If you haven’t yet tried this natural nutritious skill we will also look at the growing (pun intended) trend of Sprouting!
